LANCERS' GRADY RENFROW ON PATERNO PASSINGInside View of Former Penn State StudentJanuary 28th, 2012 Grady Renfrow attended Penn State University from 2003-2007. While traveling the first leg of this weekend's roadtrip, Grady took time to share his thought on the recent passing of legendary Penn State football coach Joe Paterno. In Renfrow’s own words: “I don’t think I could’ve ever imagined a time at Penn State without Joe Paterno. All of my memories of being in state college revolve around the incredible traditions that we carried on as students, as athletes, and as Penn Staters. From a student-athlete’s perspective, Coach Paterno not only shaped the Penn State football traditions, but the entire university’s athletic program. The unity, hustle, and the commitment to excellence were all part of the Penn State attitude. There is something to be said about Coach Paterno’s decades of dedication to PSU and his consistency of success. He epitomizes the tradition of loyalty, a core fundamental at Penn State. He will be missed, but never forgotten… that is for sure. Success with honor.” Renfrow attended Penn State University where he appeared in 17 games, starting a career-high 13 games as a senior. That season he was selected to Penn State Classic All-Tournament Team.
