(Rochester, NY) - The Lady Lancers are proud to announce their first ever player signings: Catie Broderick (Keeper) and Alexa Antetomaso (Forward). Catie is a graduate of Spencerport High School and played for MCC. Alexa graduated High School from Webster Schroeder and played 4 years at Georgia.
“Throughout the country, great local players play in other cities,” Said Salvatore SoccerSam Fantauzzo. “Our goal for the Rochester Lancers is to highlight local talent and help the development of local soccer in our great city.”
GM and Head Coach Loren Inglese & Associate Head Coach Sal Galvano held a combine for all players interested in trying out for the team on Saturday, April 22. The combine was held in the PAC Center on the MCC Campus in Brighton and attracted over 20 players from the Rochester, NY area. “It was great to see local talent on display,” said Loren Inglese. “Talking with the players, there was a lot of excitement about bringing women’s soccer back to Rochester” added Inglese. Associate Head Coach Sal Galvano stated “There were a lot of players with college and professional experience at the combine, which is the quality we are looking for.” Participants represented over 10 area universities as well as domestic and international clubs. “It was a successful first combine.” added Galvano.
