(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers are proud to announce the signings of: Jake Schindler (Defender) and Antonio Manfut (Midfield) to the NPSL Rochester Lancers Mens Team.
Jake is a graduate of West Irondequoit High School and was a 4 year defensive starter for the Rochester Lancers indoor team. Antonio is a member of the US National Futsal Team and has played indoor for the Syracuse Silver Knights since 2013.
“Throughout the country, great local players play in other cities,” Said Salvatore SoccerSam Fantauzzo. “Our goal for the Rochester Lancers is to highlight local talent and help the development of local soccer in our great city.”
“Head Coach Doug Miller has played indoor with both Jake and Antonio,” said Team GM Marc Mandell. “Doug is really excited about both of these experienced players joining the new Outdoor Lancers.”
On Tuesday, May 2 training camp starts at the Doug Miller Sports Complex. “We are expecting over 35 invited players to compete to make the roster,” Said Head Coach Doug Miller. “Having Jake anchor our defense and giving Antonio the freedom to use his speed and magic up front will create an exciting team for our loyal Rochester fans.”
“With these two amazing player signings, we are expecting new season ticket sales to come through online,” said Nick Mojsovski, Business Director. “$100 season ticket gives our fans access to both the Lady Lancers and Men Lancers games with VIP parking and more.”
