I didn't think there was anyone in the world who was more passionate about the game of soccer than myself. After today's conversation, I think I found someone who is. Whether she's playing, coaching, refereeing, training, watching, or working as part of the Syracuse Silver Knights staff, Brooke Barbuto is involved with the game of soccer. Starting as a child in Syracuse, she developed a love for the game that has sent her around the world as a player, and back to Western New York to join the Lancers. Her addition has brought optimism to the Lancers organization and her hat-trick last week helped the Lady Lancers get their first ever win as a franchise. She serves as a player/assistant coach for the team, and has Rochester fans feeling optimistic about the season.
We discuss her traveling around the world to play the beautiful game, her experience in all aspects of the game, and who she will root for when the Men's Lancers play Syracuse FC.
