Rochester, NY (Oct. 3, 2019) – The Rochester Lancers of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) are proud to announce the signing of their two Captains for the 2019/2020 season, Michael Lewis Cunningham and Anthony Rozzano.  Both Captains are Lancers veterans with the Lancers NPSL outdoor team, and both dominated last season with the M2 Lancers. Per league and team policies, no further terms of the agreement were disclosed.

“These two players could play at any level in the Country; we are fortunate that they have decided to make Rochester their home.” Said Head Coach Doug Miller.

Born and raised in Nottingham, England, Cunningham came over to the U.S. to play college ball for Roberts Wesleyan. In his time there Cunningham was named a 2x All-American. Cunningham played 12 matches for the Lancers NPSL Outdoor team, and lead the team with 6 goals and 3 assists last season. The 28 year old was named Co-Captain for the upcoming MASL season. Cunningham also has his own YouTube channel where he has over 420,000 subscribers.

Anthony “Red Mamba” Rozzano, Defender, #11.

Rozzano is one of the top players to come out of Rochester, NY.  He played four seasons for Webster Schroeder High School winning two Sectional Titles, and All Greater Rochester Player of the Year two years in a row. He was named All American in High School in 2011.  Rozzano attended SUNY Albany where he played four seasons there. He tallied 64 starts out of his 68 collegiate games. For Lancers M2, last year he appeared in 9 matches, scoring 4 goals and 2 assists, and helped the team reach the Semi Finals. Rozzano is an avid hiker, and he just completed the 46 highest peaks in the Adirondacks.
