Doug Miller Returns.  Doug Miller makes his 2019 Indoor debut Friday Night at the IDE Family Field at the Dome Arena. Miller is the President of Soccer Operations, and Head Coach of the Rochester Lancers -- but is suiting up Friday Night as a player, in efforts to defeat the visiting team, Detroit Waza Flo. The Lancers (6-4) MUST win this Friday against the Detroit Waza Flo (7-4), in order to advance into the playoffs. Miller did score one goal against the Waza Flo earlier in the season at an away match.

Miller’s last return to play at the Lancers home field was last summer with the Lancers outdoor NPSL team. Miller scored within seconds of entering the game.

Doug Miller has been coaching for over 25 years, and has been coaching Rochester’s youth also since 1996. In 2014, Doug coached the Indoor Rochester Lancers, and Doug has coached the NPSL outdoor Lancers the past 2 summer seasons. Doug is currently the President of Soccer Operations and Head Coach of the Indoor Lancers this season.

Doug has played for many teams across the United States, but became a Rochester legend playing for the Rochester Rhinos from 1996 to 1999, he still holds the record for the Rhinos all time leader in goals and points. Miller is also the Lancers all time leading scorer.

“I have waited patiently all season to play home at the New Dome Arena,” said Doug Miller, Rochester’s Living Legend, “I love the energy of this place, and playing with some of the same guys I played with back in 2011 is a dream come true for my Family & I.”
