Former Lancers Stephen Basso and Joey Tavernese have been selected to Represent the USA at the World Mini Football World Cup in Tunisia October 6-15.

Basso, who currently plays for the Harrisburg Heat, is the reigning MASL Defender of the Year. Tavernese is coming off a solid 2017 season for the Syracuse Silver Knights, scoring 26 goals. 

The tournament consists of 24 teams, in 6 groups of 4 teams, with the top 2 in each group moving on to the last 16, along with the 4 best 3rd place teams. 

The US will play in Group D along with Spain, Senegal and India. They open vs. Spain on October 7, Senegal on October 9, and India on October 10.
