The Rochester Lancers are proud to announce that The Chuck Hinkel Agency has been signed to oversee all media/public relations and former Democrat & Chronicle sports writer Kevin Oklobzija has been signed as the Lancers Insider writer for RLancers.com for the Lancers 2017 Men’s & Women’s Outdoor season.

Chuck Hinkel, who started his own PR/Marketing Agency two years ago, has over 25 years of experience in the Rochester sports/media scene, including 20 years with the Rochester Red Wings as their teams Director of Media Relations.  In just two short years, his PR/Marketing agency has handled the PR for the 2015 World Series of Beep Baseball, the ground breaking for the Miracle Field construction project, undefeated heavyweight boxer Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller, and numerous sports marketing projects involving many Rochester colleges.  In addition to his own PR/Marketing Agency, Hinkel has worked the last 10 years as a statistician for NFL and NCAA Basketball games for CBS Sports.

Kevin Oklobzija, who spent over 30 years as a sports writer at the Democrat & Chronicle newspaper, has been hired as the Lancers Insider writer for RLancers.com.  Inducted into the Rochester Americans Hall of Fame and Frontier Field Walk of Fame for his journalism, Kevin was the beat writer for the Rochester Americans & Rochester Red Wings, covered US Hockey for Gannett Newspapers at two Winter Olympic games, and written many feature stories about local athletes.  He’s also hosted the former “Day at the Races” radio show and is a fill-in host for sports radio talk shows The Bob Matthews Show and The Carl Falk Show.

Rochester Lancers fans will be able to enjoy Kevin’s stories on RLancers.com.  Kevin will write a pre-game story & game story for each home game and will have feature stories about both men and women Lancers players throughout the season.

“Kevin and I are excited to partner with the Rochester Lancers for the 2017 season, said Chuck Hinkel.  We look forward to promoting Rochester Lancers soccer and highlighting all the local soccer talent Rochester has.”
