It’s early October, and it looks like a good time to check up on our Lancers who are playing in college.

 

Division I

Sophomore Defender Nikkye DePoint (McQuaid 16’) has started all 12 games for Villanova University, scoring 1 goal and 1 assist. The Wildcats are 6-6 on the season.

 

Forward Lukas Fernandes (Churchville-Chili 16’) scored his first career goal for the Owls, who are 5-6-1. He has taken part in 8 games.

 

Division II

Junior Midfielder Rafael Godoi has played in 2 games and has 2 goals for the University of West Florida. He has unfortunately been sidelined with a hamstring injury for much of the season.

 

Senior Captain Ben Allan has started in all 11 games for King University, scoring 2 goals. The Tornado are 2-8-1.

 

Senior Defender Dean Byrne has started all 12 games for Concord University, notching 1 assist. The Lions are 2-9-1.

Division III

Junior Midfielder August Finn and Senior Midfielder Sammy Wasson have been important for Buffalo State this season. The Bengals are 10-1-2 and currently ranked 17th in the Division III United Soccer Coaches National Poll. Finn has 3 goals and 2 assists in 13 games, and Wasson has 1 assist in 8 games.

 

Community College

Sophomore defender Glenn Holmes has scored 7 goals and 2 assists in 13 games for Genesee Community College. The Cougars are 10-2-1, and ranked 3rd in the Nation in the NJCAA Division III poll.
