(Rochester, NY) The Rochester Lancers of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) are proud to announce the return of two star players for the 2019/2020 season, Tim Crawford and David Wright.  Both players have previously been part of the Lancers organization. Crawford is an original indoor Lancers player from the 2014-2015 season and was also part of our NPSL outdoor Lancers. Wright played for the 2018 NPSL outdoor Lancers and also the 2019 M2 Lancers. Per league and team policies, no further terms of the agreement were disclosed.

“Tim and David have been part of the Rochester soccer scene for years,” said Marc Mandell, GM.  “They are workhorses on the field and leaders on and off the field. It is great to have these guys back in the fold.”

Tim Crawford, Defender, #7.

Born and raised in Rochester, NY, 27 year old Crawford attended Webster Thomas High School and was First Team All-County and First Time All-Greater Rochester in both his junior and senior seasons. He was also named the Section V All-Star game Offensive MVP. He holds the third all-time in both goals and assists at Webster Thomas. Crawford attended Hartwick College where he played in 59 games, started in 44 games with 3 goals and 4 assists. He was team captain his senior year. Crawford played for the Indoor Rochester Lancers during the 2014-2015 season and the Syracuse Silver Knights during the 2016-2017 season. He played in 10 NPSL Lancers games in 2017. In those 10 games he played 547 minutes and the team only allowed 2 goals while he was on the field. In his free time Tim enjoys hiking in the Adirondacks and playing disc golf.

David Wright, Midfield/Forward, #3.

Born and raised in Rochester, NY, 25 year old Wright attended Victor High School and spent 1 year at Aquinas Institute. He had 25 goals and 40 assists during his 5 year Varsity High School soccer career. Wright spent 2 years playing under Lancer Legend, Nelson Cupello at Monroe Community College. During his time at MCC he had 10 goals and 20 assists. 2012-2013 he played for the Schulz Soccer Academy in Boca Raton, Florida (PDL). 2013-2014 Rochester Rhinos (USL). 2015-2016 Sindicato de Atletas of Sao Paulo, Brazil (Serie A3). 2015-2017 PSC FC (UPSL) and Pro Select, Malta (EUR). Most currently, Wright spent time with the M2 indoor Lancers and the NPSL outdoor Lancers. David enjoys being a DJ during his free time and is a season ticket holder for Manchester United (EPL).

The MASL opens its season the weekend of November 22nd. The Lancers will visit The MetroStars of Canada. The Lancers Home Opener is on Friday, November 29 at the New Dome Arena, and will play a 24-game regular season.
