Defending the top of the box. Target, second forward and midfielder are in the wall. Two defenders are in the back which have to be ready for wide passes and slotting the ball to the low post. Responsibilities: We do not break the wall until the ball is passed. We must be brave to take the shot. If the ball is passed to the side the outside wall must go to block the shot. The middle guy backs into the box to block shots and help defense, weak side looks for rebound/help defense then break out. We are in âDâ so it will be man to man and you have to body up.
